Youth Showmanship: Open to horses and ponies.  Open to exhibitors 17 years and under. Judged strictly on the exhibitor's ability to show a horse or pony at halter.  The horse or pony is merely a prop to demonstrate the ability of the exhibitor.  The ideal showmanship performance consists of a poised, confident, neatly attired exhibitor leading a well-groomed horse that quickly and efficiently performs any requested pattern with promptness, smoothness and precision.
