Requirements: Open to riders who have never competed in any class at any show requiring a canter. Riders may only cross enter into other Walk-Trot classes. Open to all disciplines. For personal appointments/tack requirements see descriptions under Hunt Seat, Western and Saddleseat Divisions as applicable.

Novice Walk-Trot 10 & under: Open to riders 10 years and under in their first or second year of showing in Walk-Trot classes.

Try The Canter (AUGUST SHOW ONLY)
Class 163 - Try The Canter (AUGUST SHOW ONLY): Open to Walk-Trot riders who rode in a Walk-Trot age group Division at a prior TSHA show this year. (Green Horse or Novice Walk-Trot Divisions are not eligible). Riders must try the canter when asked. Limit of 8 riders will be asked to canter at a time. There is a 2 year limit to participate in this class, after which the rider must either stay in Walk-Trot or move to Walk-Trot-Canter. Participation in this class does not penalize riders who return to TSHA Walk-Trot Divisions.
